The Rehabilitation Services Department at OSU Medical Center provides the best possible patient care because of the expertise and compassion of our Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy staff members. Almost all of our therapists have well over 10 years of experience and have very broad and diverse skill sets. Their passion for their work is apparent through their enthusiasm and energy. They strive to make each therapy session enjoyable for the patient, so the best outcomes can be achieved.

The Rehabilitation Department serves patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings at OSU Medical Center. We provide many specialty services including wound care, orthopedic rehab, neuro rehab, swallowing therapy, cognitive rehab, and functional capacity evaluations. Once the physician orders Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy, we will initiate services as soon as possible. All patients receive a thorough evaluation of their abilities, so an individualized plan of care can be developed. Extensive patient and caregiver education is provided as the foundation of all our programs.

Because OSU Medical Center is a teaching hospital, we’ve been able to build very strong relationships with our physicians. We have open communication with our physicians and collaborate with them on a daily basis to ensure the needs of the patients are met. This level of interaction allows us to ensure we’re providing the best possible care to every patient, every time.
