Patients who have a scheduled procedure will receive a telephone call from the admissions department prior to their procedure date. If you have not been contacted, you may call the admissions department at 918-599-5752, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Insurance and Financial Responsibility

OSU Medical Center participates in and accepts most major payers including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers and managed care programs. The admitting registrar will ask you for the information on your insurance identification cards. Pre-certification is required in many cases, this process must be initiated by you and/or your admitting physician, depending on your coverage. Ask your insurance carrier or your physician’s office for assistance. Most insurance companies require that you notify them before an elective or urgent procedure. If the proper requirements are not met your procedure may be rescheduled. If your scheduled procedure is the result of an accident, you will be asked to provide the admitting registrar with all accident insurance information prior to the scheduled date of your procedure.
